ĀKAU Communities! | Pop-Up!

2014

    Brief

To introduce ourselves to Kaikohe and engage with taitamariki

Our inaugural community project was a pop-up shop on the main street of Kaikohe, that ran workshops and community projects over the summer. Taking over an un-tenanted space, we opened our doors to the community and young people of Kaikohe. Taitamariki and whānau participated in numerous workshops at the ĀKAU Pop-Up! Focusing mainly on placemaking, these workshops and projects included an outdoor living classroom, botanical drawing classes, jelly making, and more!

It was really interesting and fun being around really nice and funny people!
