We entered our first design competition run by Christchurch based OHU. We were excited about this awesome kaupapa in Lyttelton: To create a building on the Collett’s Corner site that will be collectively owned by the community it supports. We submitted a concept, in true ĀKAU styles, that involved designing this with local taitamariki and community members. So although we didn’t have finished renders like most of the other submissions we were excited about the prospect of local rangatahi designing something spectacular! Unfortunately, we didn’t make it to the next stage of the project but it was an awesome experience to go through.
