Kerikeri Domain Masterplan
Rejuvenating Kerikeri Domain, the heart of Kerikeri’s diverse community.
Kerikeri Domain is a well-used park at the heart of Kerikeri. Rangatahi and tamariki from Kerikeri schools and youth groups developed concepts for the Domain over a creative, hands-on two day papamahi with ĀKAU. Their concept designs expressed the diverse and vibrant community of Kerikeri, and the role of the Domain as a place of togetherness.
From the tamariki concepts, ĀKAU developed a strategic masterplan with overarching concepts to guide changes in the Domain into the future. ĀKAU also completed developed and detailed design for a new skatepark and basketball court, a vibrant rangatahi-centred addition to the domain.
